Famous quote two.

Another moon study.

Ink, pencil and oil pastel.
Another study of the moon.
The composition was inspired by the layout of a Polaroid photograph.
Pencil was used for mark making.

A spiral with corners.

Cross hatching.

This is a pencil drawing created using a mars lumograph 8B by Staedtler.
The sketch was scanned and converted into negative.
It was then enhanced with cross hatching.

Paul's pointillism.

Pointillism: In painting, the use of separate dots of pure colour.
Most famously, examples of pointillism can be found in the work of Camille Pissarro and Georges Seurat.
This image is created by enhancing Tom's self portrait using the pointillism effect.

Number 14 Alma Lane: Sunday raining.

He went back to The Elms.
The mosaic tiles met him at the porch.
He grabbed the brass handle and pushed the heavy door.
He noted his reflection in the blue bevelled glass.
He stepped inside
...passing the mail box.
The creaking stairs lead him into the old house.
Number 14.
The door confirmed his entrance with a SLAM.
Inside he was.
Inside you are.

Tonal shading.

Pencil
image scanned from Sketchbook #92
I am not that pencil
straight and true
Or the picture
Shade and texture drew
And I am not the dropped one
...broken, brittle
It just flew from finger onto floor
Nor am I pack fresh and brand new
Not sharpened like a jewel
Or snapped in two
Or whittled and tossed away all together
I am the artist, spinning a yarn
in pencil

Geometric communion.

I think this collage rocks.
Hey, this page has been hidden for 16 years in Sketchbook #92.
Now released, transposed, revealed, published.
Looking back I'm trying to recollect how the component parts of the collage originated?
There was an obvious communication by postcard from Tenerife. (John.)
A wax rubbing.
Some red tape.
The title, 'Geometric communion.' is down to the square of blue sky.
And the triangles - right angled.

All Pylon.
